Having paid homage to my 80’s music roots, I now turn my attention back to the journey of finding my own sound. The first stop on this leg of the journey takes us into some up-tempo, cinematic funk.

Having paid homage to my 80’s music roots, I now turn my attention back to the journey of finding my own sound. The first stop on this leg of the journey takes us into some up-tempo, cinematic funk.

Building upon the familiar thump & pluck of the bass guitar, contra-bass strings add weight to the bassline while the rest of the string section sets a slightly ominous tone. Analog synths alternate between layering and trading counter-melodies while strong handclaps drive the groove forward.

The journey continues… May the funk be with you.
